It arises due to  non- Fulfillment of the desires
Depression has three components

Time, Place & Circumstances

Time - Time according the clock is the same for every one  at the present moment but the Mental state is different. It is the age factor of a Individual

Achild is thinking about his/her mother
A student may be looking for the exams. & school teacher/ friends.
A teenager might be busy with the dress which she would like to wear for her next date.
A lover might be thinking about her wedding date & place.
A Employee might be thinking of the likes/dislikes of his Boss
A businessmen might be thinking of the transactions which he intends exescting during the day.
A Investor might be thinking about the likely fluctation in the Share/Commodity market.
DISSATISFACTON COMES INTO EXISTENSE AS SOON AS THE EXPECTED EVENTS DO NOT TAKE PLACE. WHEN DIS-SATISFACTION IS OF PROLONGED NATURE IT MAY LEAD TO DEPRESSION. For example For the child if the child does not sees the mother he cries & expresses the displeasure, but he/she does not see the mother for very long he stops weeping & goes into depression. Similar is the fate of other other people as they grow old.Other factors I will be taking up gradually
